God's
Plan of Salvation
• God loves you!
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only
Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal
life." (John 3:16)
• But, you are a sinner.
"For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."
(Romans 3:23)
• The Holy Spirit convicts you of your sin.
"When He comes, He will convict the world of guilt in regard
to sin . . . because men do not believe in Me." (John 16:8-9)
• Your response to sin is to repent.
"For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
(Matthew 9:13)
• And to trust in Christ as Savior and Lord.
"That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and
believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will
be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified,
and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the
Scripture says, 'Anyone who trusts in Him shall not be put to shame.'"
(Romans 10:9-10, 13)

Baptist Bearden?
Our members come from a variety of religious backgrounds and geographic

Additionally, every member is expected to minister through service.
You may begin these requirements by coming forward during the invitation
hymn which is sung at the end of each worship service.
What
if I've already made a personal commitment to Christ?

Expectations of a Member
Members
of Central Baptist Bearden are encouraged to do the following on
a regular basis:
• Attend weekly worship. Together in praise and worship, we
refocus our thoughts on God, feel our spirits lifted, and find motivation
and encouragement for personal ministry during the week.
• In a large church, we need a group of individuals with whom
we can relate, grow spiritually, as well as give and receive encouragement.
Our Sunday School and Bible studies are small groups in which fellowship
and caring can occur.
• A daily appointment with God in prayer and Bible study helps
strengthen our personal relationship with Him.
• God owns everything and allows us to serve as stewards of
His resources. In response to His love and to show our faith in
Him, the Bible instructs us to give 10 percent of our income (a
tithe) to His work through the Church, His Body of Believers.
• Since Jesus' resurrection, we are the only personal witnesses
of who He is to the people around us. We are to share His gift of
grace and salvation to the lost and dying world by our lifestyle
and verbal sharing.
• Every Christian has been given at least one spiritual gift
upon receiving Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. This gift
is to be used for the benefit of Christ's body (the church) for
acts of service and ministry in the church and in the world.
