Welcome you to join us for worship and Christian growth at Central
Baptist Church of Bearden. You will find a warm and friendly
reception in this fellowship of believers in Jesus Christ,
established in 1894. At Central Baptist Church of Bearden you
will find strong and effective ministries, extensive mission
involvement and support, multi-faceted programs, and a Christ-centered
worship.
What
do we believe?
• Jesus
Christ is to be the leader of our lives.
• We base everything we believe on the Bible.
• Every Christian has direct access to God and can have
a personal relationship with God.
• Each church is a self-governing body following Christ's
leadership.
• We practice baptism by immersion (under the water), the
way Jesus was baptized and the way the Bible commands.
• We serve the Lord's Supper as a symbolic reminder of Christ's
ultimate sacrifice for us.

God's
Plan of Salvation
• God loves you!
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only
Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal
life." (John 3:16)
• But, you are a sinner.
"For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."
(Romans 3:23)
• The Holy Spirit convicts you of your sin.
"When He comes, He will convict the world of guilt in regard
to sin . . . because men do not believe in Me." (John 16:8-9)
• Your response to sin is to repent.
"For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
(Matthew 9:13)
• And to trust in Christ as Savior and Lord.
"That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and
believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will
be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified,
and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the
Scripture says, 'Anyone who trusts in Him shall not be put to shame.'"

How do I become a member of Central
Baptist Bearden?
Our members come from a variety of religious backgrounds and geographic
regions, reflecting the diversity of our area. We share a common
belief in Jesus Christ and His leading in drawing new members to
this fellowship of believers.
Two requirements for membership exist at Central Baptist Bearden:
• A personal commitment to follow Jesus Christ
• A public testimony by Baptism
Additionally, every member is expected to minister through service.
You may begin these requirements by coming forward during the invitation
hymn which is sung at the end of each worship service.
What
if I've already made a personal commitment to Christ?
You
have three additional ways to join Central Baptist Bearden:
• By transfer of letter from another Baptist Church
• By statement of faith having already been baptized by immersion
• As a candidate for Baptism, having already professed Christ
but not baptized
