Our PRESCHOOL
WEEKDAY PROGRAM provides a loving, fun, educational,
Christian environment for children ages 6 weeks to 5
years. PSWD is a DHS-licensed, 3 STAR
program of Central Baptist Church as a ministry to the
whole family. We recognize that the family is the best
model for a child and is the strongest influence on the
child’s development. It is our hope to provide
additional experiences of value to enrich each child’s
life. Our program is designed to provide a caring, safe,
supportive, educational Christian environment for preschool
children. Our children enjoy an age-appropriate classroom
curriculum, which is supplemented by Enrichment classes
such as Music, Movement, Chapel, Story
Time and Spanish. We offer 12 classes with placement
based on date of birth. Each class is staffed with 2
teachers, which enables each student to receive individual
attention while also learning to participate as a member
of a group. Jan May, Director of PSWD,

HOURS OF OPERATION are 9:30-2:00 Monday through Thursday with early care hours
from 8:30-9:30 and late care hours from 2:00-4:00. Our program begins in late
August, ends in mid-May and is closed according to the Knox Co. School calendar
for Fall, Spring and Christmas breaks.
We enjoy meeting the social, emotional, physical and spiritual needs of our students.
We believe every child is an important gift from God! We take seriously the responsibility
of helping each child begin to discover the talents and interests given to him/her
by God.
