Scriptural
prayer reminders - God continually reminds us
in scripture of the importance of prayer, not only in order
to receive what we need, but in order to have a close, personal
relationship with Him. There are so many scriptures concerning
prayer, but here are a few which remind us of the importance
of prayer.
“If
My people, who are called by My name, will humble
themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from
their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and
will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14
“It
is written,” he [Jesus] said to them,
“My house shall be called a house of prayer.”
Matthew 21:13
“Call
to me and I will answer you
and tell you great and unsearchable things
you do not know.”
Jeremiah 33:3
“Ask
and it will be given to you,
seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds;
and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.”
Matthew 7:7-8
“Do
not be anxious about anything, but in everything,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests
to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Phillipians 4:6-7
