Children's Ministry Calendar



Sunday School- Specially designed lessons and experiences for children in first through fifth grades based on Lifeway curriculum including games, music, crafts, large group skits, Bible stories and Bible skills. Sixth grade ministry conducts its own Sunday School based on experiencing God and following Jesus. Two Sunday sessions choose either 9:00am or 10:30am.

Mission Organizations - Girls in Action and Royal Ambassadors for first through sixth graders include camp experiences, global missions studies, missionary encounters and supporting the missions of our church through projects. Wednesday evenings during the school year; 6:35pm - 7:25pm.

Music - Graded choirs meet on Wednesday evening during the school year 5:40p.m. - 6:30p.m.

Worship -Families worship together during either the 9:00am or 10:30am worship services. Kids Celebration for children in first through third grades is offered during the majority of the adult service. Kids Celebration includes elements of worship and serves as great "Worship Practice". Check the worship bulletin for schedule information.

Children's Bible Drill - A discipleship program featuring Bible skills for children in fourth through sixth grades. Central Baptist Bearden participates in association and state Bible drills.

Bible Buddies - Children in first through third grades learn Bible skills and memorize verses along with life applications. Fun is another word for Bible Buddies.

New Christian's Class - Quarterly class for children who are newly professing followers of Jesus. Children attend with a parent or parents. The class meets on Sunday morning from 9:00-11:45. Dates are announced in advance.

Sixth Grade Survival Day - A one day event in August to help prepare rising sixth grade students for a great year of transition into the Youth ministry.

After School Care - After School and Summer Day Care Programs are available for school-aged through fifth grade. After school transportation is provided from Rocky Hill, Bearden, and West Hills Elementary Schools.

Vacation Bible School - A week of summer Bible study, missions education, recreation, and worship for children from three years through sixth grade.

Parents' Night Out - An opportunity for parents to take a break and for children birth to sixth grade to have fun as they learn about Jesus at church. 6:00pm-8:45pm; dates to be announced, reservations required.

Child Protection Training - Children's ministry conducts training that is required for all volunteers who work with children from birth through eighteen years of age. Sessions are held once a month-check the church calendar for dates and times.


Loving, Leading, Launching
